Deposit

There is a $300 deposit due September 1. We will let you know the final payment as soon as the airfare and other travel expenses are determined. You should expect to pay a total of $600 to $1,000. This amount is dependent on how many youth confirm their attendance and the total final cost of the trip. The Montana 4-H Foundation contributes $10,000 for this award trip and that amount is split evenly amongst the youth traveling.

Youth are encouraged to individually fundraise in any way they can. Many times, county councils and foundations will assist with this cost, so be sure to reach out to those groups. Youth may also solicit donations from community groups or individuals that may be interested in supporting your leadership trip. We suggest writing up a letter or flyer that describes your award trip and how you worked to be awarded this opportunity. If you do collect donations those should be collected by you and not given directly to the Montana 4-H Foundation or 4-H Center.

Checks should be made payable to the Montana 4-H Center for Youth Development.
