State 4-H Western Heritage Championship

The State 4-H Western Heritage Championship is scheduled for August 20-21, 2021 at the range in Simms, Montana.  Persona interviews and the test will take place on Friday afternoon and evening with the shooting competition on Saturday.  The registration along with the persona interview score sheet are available on the 4-H Western Heritage Project website.

The 4-H State Horse Show registration is open, please register on FairEntry. This show is an opportunity for 4-H horse project members to test their skills alongside their peers from across the state in an educational and enjoyable competitive contest. Classes are offered to include nearly every aspect of the 4-H Horse Projects as well as nearly every skill level of rider. Registration deadline is September 1, 2021, late registration will be an additional $20 per family. Entry Cost is $75 per youth, Stall outdoor covered and uncovered is $15 per day, Indoor Stall for $20 per day. Saturday night there will be live music along with BBQ meal. BBQ tickets will be $10 per person, and 1 free ticket will be given to youth participating in the Horse Show. Please visit the Montana 4-H State Horse Show Page for more information and schedule.

Registration is now open for the 2021 MT Working Ranch Horse Finals event. The event will be held on August 28-29 at the 406 Arena in Vaughn. We have another great year of competition, prizes and fun planned for our MT 4-H Members. We are excited to see you. 2021 4-H STEM Challenge

Galactic Quest explores the history of humans in space, the technology and resources needed for missions, and the obstacles humans encounter in orbit. Activities explore important STEM topics ranging from physics and engineering to computer science and space agriculture.

How to Participate: Educator Kit: Includes material for 12 youth to participate in the offline activities at the same time. Kits can be used in spaces where physical distancing can be followed. Family Sized Kits: Includes materials for 1-4 youth to participate in the offline activities at the same time for inside the home. Shirley Brown Saddle

SaddleA generous supporter is donating a western show saddle to a deserving 4-H member. Youth should submit a short essay (no more than two pages double spaced) describing "What 4-H means to them and what they would do with a new saddle". All entries must be submitted to [email protected] by September 1st. A winner will be announced by September 6th. The Shirley Brown Saddle is custom, the previous owner of the saddle was 5'5'' and believes the seat is 15''.
